The Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association is proud to announce the first event in its inaugural CLE series created in partnership with The Florida Bar. Join us for a Conversation on Mass Torts on July 24, 2025 at Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton, 2525 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Floor 9, Miami, Florida 33134. A kickoff reception will start at 5 p.m. and will offer free wine, appetizers, and other refreshments. At 6:30 p.m., the conversation will begin, offering our members critical information on how new and experienced lawyers can break into mass tort litigation in Florida and the country. Additionally, panelists will share how minorities and persons of color can increase their representation in this space. Mass tort cases include product liability litigation against producers of hair relaxers typically used by Black women, cases involving toxic exposure to environmentally destructive chemicals, and mass casualty litigation.
