Join the Judicial Diversity Initiative (JDI) for an insightful discussion on navigating judicial elections. Our expert panel features Broward County Circuit Judge George Odor, Jr., and County Judge Woody R. Clermont, who will share valuable insights on how to successfully run for judicial office. The session will be moderated by Assistant United States Attorney Camille C.T. Smith, president of the TJ Reddick Bar Association.
This FREE event is open to the public. JDI is a collaborative effort of leading Black bar associations in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.
The Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Bar Association & Foundation proudly presents its 44th Annual Scholarship & Installation Gala, remembering the 150th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1875.
The Civil Rights Act of 1875 aimed to grant Black Americans, mainly freed slaves, equal access to public accommodations. The Supreme Court struck it down in the Civil Rights Cases of 1883, allowing racial discrimination to persist until the Civil Rights Act of 1964 finally restored those rights.
Join us at the FIU Kovens Conference Center in North Miami as we honor the past and invest in the future.
